PROJECT MANAGEMENT & QUANTITY SURVEYING
Following an incident when a run of coping stones slipped and fell into the grounds of the hotel our initial instructions were confined to surveying the coping stones and supporting parapet walls to assess their general condition and structural stability of the masonry and to determine whether there is any immediate danger of falling masonry.
A full repair contract followed consisting of the repair and replacement of dangerous masonry at high level to the 3 blocks of the hotel; The Manor House, 1976 Addition and the Buckhurst Suite.

Construction
The elevations of the Manor House consist of fair-faced soft red brickwork, with stone dressings and timber windows. The multi pitched roofs are slate covered, with subsidiary roofs being flat and covered in asphalt or felt.

The Manor House was originally constructed in about 1800 although it has over the years been subject to extensive alteration of various kinds which include the 1976 extension, the Buckhurst suite and a large conservatory to the South elevation
