External Refurbishment
Our clients Hilton International UK Ltd. instructed us to undertake an inspection of the property in order to generate a Planned Maintenance Programme spreading repairs over a 15 year period.
This led to an ongoing restoration programme to the elevations over a 5 year period with works due for completion in 2016.
The building was designed by Alfred Waterhouse who was responsible for the Natural History Museum and the University College of London. It was at the time the largest hotel in the country outside London and Brighton’s tallest building.

Steel frame construction finished with red and yellow facing bricks incorporating terracotta features to cornices, band and string course and ornate details to window surrounds..
